Ms. Russin was born January 4, 1918 in Bridgeport, CT, the daughter of Daniel and Mary (Demianovich) Philipanko. She worked as a cost accountant, retiring in 1983. She was an accomplished painter and watercolorist. She moved from Milford, CT in 2001 and resided in Salina until recently moving to Blair.

Survivors include one son, Raymond Russin and wife Ann Marie Olson; two granddaughters, Jennifer Klapp and husband Christopher and Heather House and husband Marshall; and five great-grandsons, Michael, Alexander and Nathan Klapp and Braxton and Gabriel House.

The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at All Saints Orthodox Christian Church, 2818 Scanlan Ave., Salina. Burial will be in Gypsum Hill Cemetery.

A trisagion/prayer service will be at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401.

Memorials may be made to the church, Bethany College, Lindsborg or Dana College, Blair, NE.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the mortuary, where the family will receive friends from 6:30 – 8 p.m.
