Mrs. Slagle was born M. Louise Brane on Dec. 20, 1928, in Winfield to Robert and Winifred Ramsey Brane. She was an administrative assistant at Asbury Hospital.

She was preceded in death by a son, Mark, in 1973.

Survivors include a son, Terry and wife Cindy of San Antonio; two sisters, Roberta Wilkerson of Beeville, Texas, and Barbara Pence of Littleton, Colo.; and two grandchildren, Travis Slagle and wife Yvette of Pahoa, Hawaii, and Justin Slagle of San Antonio.

A memorial service will be in Winfield Cemetery at a later date.

Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association.

There will be no visitation. The body was cremated.
