Mrs. Whitaker was born Barbara Jean Robertson on June 16, 1957, in Salina. She worked in housekeeping at Red Coach Inn and Motel 6.

Survivors include two sons, Albert III of Salina and Sedrick of Wichita; a daughter, Natalie Dixon of Salina; two brothers, Wayne T. Robertson and James L. Robertson, both of Abilene; two sisters, Luann M. Whitaker and Susan L. Robertson, both of Salina; and nine grandchildren.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Salvation Army, 1137 N. Santa Fe., Salina. Private inurnment will be at a later date.

Memorials may be made to the family to assist with funeral expenses.

There will be no visitation.
