Mr. Whitmer was born Nov. 6, 1959, in Ellsworth.

Survivors include his wife, Christine, of the home; two sons, Randy Hanson-Whitmer and Jon Whitmer, both of Salina; a daughter, Michelle Whitmer-Barr of Bridgeport; his mother, Shirley Whitmer, of Salina; a brother, David Whitmer of Salina; a sister, Kathy Wing of Salina; and three grandchildren.

A memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401. Private inurnment will be at a later date.

Memorials may be made to the family to assist with funeral expense, in care of the mortuary.

There will be no visitation.
