Jacquelyn S. Woolsey

Jacquelyn S. Woolsey, 75, Salina, died Saturday, April 20, 2007.

Mrs. Woolsey was born Jacquelyn Sue Eves on Sept. 1, 1931, in Fort Scott, the daughter of Chester and Mildred (Bainum) Eves. She was a former longtime newspaper women and worked for the Illinois State Journal, the Topeka State Journal and was the woman's editor for the Salina Journal for more than 23 years. She graduated from the University of Arkansas in 1953. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Salina, the National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors and a life member of Beta Sigma Phi. Her hobbies included antiques, especially old clocks, auctions and Norwegian elkhounds.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Norman, in 1998.

A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Gypsum Hill Cemetery, Salina.

Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church.
