Mr. Zimmer was born May 16, 1985, in Salina. He attended Washburn University and Kansas Wesleyan University. He loved to draw and played basketball and tennis, helping his team win the 2004 State Tennis Championship.

Survivors include his mother, Tina Zimmer-Leiker, of Salina; his father, Terry Zimmer, of Salina; a sister, Angie Zimmer of Perry; and a grandmother, Ruth Pickrell of Salina.

A memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at First Covenant Church, 2625 E. Magnolia, Salina 67401. Private family burial will be in Gypsum Hill Cemetery.
