Robert S. Buxton, 83, Salina, died Saturday, Sept. 6, 2008. Mr. Buxton was born Feb. 7, 1925 in Caledonia, Mo., the son of Samuel and Elsie (Burwell) Buxton. He worked as a safety officer with US Dept. of Labor in Rolla, Mo. He served in the US Navy and was a WWII veteran. He was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis in 1990. Survivors include three daughters, Barbara Campbell of Oregon, Elizabeth McElhaney of Virginia and Peggy Bledsoe of North Carolina and two grandsons, Connor Campbell and Ryan McElhaney. In keeping with Robert's wishes, he was cremated and no services will be held. Memorials may be made to Windsor Estates Nursing Home in care of Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401. |
