While in Kansas City, she had worked for Halls Department Store in the Bath Shop. After moving to Salina, she worked for the former Kline’s Department Store, Video Mart and JC’s Bar and Grill. Patty loved animals, especially her pets.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerrold E. Cossette Sr., on Jan. 29, 1997; two grandsons, Ryun Cossette in 2003 and Jonathan Cossette in 1989; and one infant granddaughter, Rachel Cossette.

She is survived by three sons, Dr. Jerrold E. Cossette Jr. and wife Dani and Jonathan C. “Jack” Cossette and wife Deanna, all of Salina, and James P. Cossette and Holly Taylor and son, Taylor, of Mission; grandchildren, Sean and Jason Mills, Chris and Adam Cossette, and Morgan Cossette; and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Ryan Mortuary, Salina, where family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at First Covenant Church, 2625 E. Magnolia Road, Salina 67401, with the Rev. Doug McHenry officiating. Burial will be in Gypsum Hill Cemetery, Salina. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the Jonathan and Ryun Cossette Memorial Scholarship fund for Christian athletes.
