Melissa Dawn Davis, 25, died March 7, 2008. Ms. Davis was born April 17, 1982, in Salina and graduated from Salina Central High School in 2000. She was an OCCK Consumer and had been a poster child for the Children’s Miracle Network. She loved working on computers, country music and being outside. She is preceded in death by her grandfather, Leroy Vargas, and an aunt, Barbara Tatro. She is survived by her mother, Audrey Davis, and stepfather, Bill Bunting, Salina; her father, Jim Davis, and spouse Jacki, Salina; her sister, Amanda Davis and companion Travis Harrington, Salina; her stepsister, Amy Bunting and stepbrother, Chris Bunting, Salina; and grandparents, Gary and Shirley Rohloff, Salina, and Mary Vargas, Douglas, Wyoming. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 11, 2008, at the Ryan Mortuary. Burial will be in Gypsum Hill Cemetery, Salina. Visitation will be Monday from noon until 8 p.m. at the mortuary, where the family will receive friends from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Donations may be made in Ms. Davis’ name, in care of First Bank of Kansas. |
