John Albert Garcia, 73, Salina, died Aug 9, 2008. He was born Sept 12, 1934 in San Antonio, Tx, the son of Albert & Victoria Sandoval Garcia. He was a brick mason and owner of John Albert Garcia Masonry Company. He had worked in the San Antonio & Houston areas. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Cathedral Parish. He is preceded in death by three sons, Juan III, Louie and Tony; his brothers, Pete, Richard, Fernando and Joseph and a sister, Carmen Garcia. John married Gloria Costiano Rodriguez on May 7, 1951 in San Antonio, Tx. She survives him as do his sons, Fernando and spouse, Josette, San Antonio, Tx, Gabriel and spouse, Yolanda, San Antonio, Tx, Albert, Salina, Roger, Houston, Tx, Felix, Salina, Pete, Salina, Roland, San Antonio, Tx; and his daughters, Sylvia and spouse, Ed, Dickerman, Salina, and Sally and spouse, Victor, Wooten, Houston, Tx. He has three sisters Carmen Lopez, San Antonio, Tx, Denise and spouse, Richard, Geahrmann, San Antonio, Tx, and Julia and spouse, Frank, Ruiz, Houston, Tx and 18 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Vigil service will be on Tuesday evening at the Ryan Mortuary at 7:30 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be Wednesday at 10:00 am at the Sacred Heart Catholic Cathedral. Memorials are suggested to Hospice of Salina. |
