Doris Gingery
March 7, 1945 - September 8, 2008

CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Doris Gingery, 63, Cheyenne, died Monday, Sept. 8, 2008, at her home in Cheyenne. She was born March 7, 1945, in Paola, Kan.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents, John and Inez Whitaker; two brothers, George Whitaker and John “Pete” Whitaker; and a sister, Charlene Tuller.

Mrs. Gingery is survived by her husband, Bruce, Cheyenne; daughter and son-in-law, Misty and Boyd Plotts, Tucson, Ariz.; son and daughter-in-law, Rand Sean and Michele, Bristol, Conn.; two grandchildren, Katelyn and Tyler; four sisters, Emma Jean Wentworth, Rochdale, Mass., Dorene Grous, Warner Robins, Ga., Jane Hargus, Salina, and Karen Foley, Smolan; and a brother, Darrell Scott Whitaker.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina, KS 67401, followed by interment in Mission Hill Cemetery, Smolan.

Doris was best known for faith in the Lord, Jesus Christ, and dedication to her family.
