He attended Barton Co. Jr. College and graduated from Fort Hays State with a B.A. in sociology. He had been a resident director for Kansas Wesleyan from 1984-91 and had worked at the Job Service Center, Salina. He loved Oklahoma Univ. football and the women’s college basketball tournaments held at the Bicentennial Center.

He married Sonya Ysolde Schwindt on Aug. 28, 1977, in Great Bend.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Dolores Stoskopf Harders. He is survived by his wife, Ysolde, of the home; his father, Marion Harders, Great Bend; a brother, Richard Harders and spouse Opal, Hutchinson; a sister, Charlotte Wapelhorst and spouse Paul, Great Bend; two nieces, Jennifer Cochran and spouse Kevin, Denver, CO, and Shelly Harders; and a nephew, Ricky Harders.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, March 10, at the Trinity Lutheran Church, Salina. Burial will be at the Valley View Cemetery, Roxbury, at 2 p.m. on Monday afternoon.

Memorials are suggested, in lieu of flowers, to the Tammy Walker Cancer Center, Salina.
