She married John Hayden on October 30, 1934 in Belfast. They moved to the Panama Canal Zone in 1940 and moved to Salina, Kansas in 1950. She was a retired hair dresser. She was a long time member of Bel Air Southern Baptist Church, and taught adult ladies Sunday school classes for many years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Fred Wing, Pearl Wing, Everett Wing and Harland Wing, sisters Beulah Wing, Blanche Wing, Bertha Wing Taylor, Iva Wing Canning and Olive Wing, her husband, John and a grandson, John A. Larson.

Survivors include daughter, Barbara Usher and her husband, Larry of Salina, Kansas, Phyllis Larson and her husband Duane of Topeka, Kansas and Janice Porter and her husband, Don of Gallatin, Mo; nine grandchildren, Randy Larson and wife Elena of Berryton, Kansas, Connie Kvacik and her husband Daniel, of Salina, Kansas, Pamela Murray and her husband Dennis of Tecumseh, Kansas, Alan Usher and his wife Amy of Salina, Kansas, Mary Beth Ashburn and her husband Steve, of Anderson, South Carolina; Todd Porter and his wife Cheryl of Kansas City, Kansas, Dennis Larson and his wife Melanie of Bixby, OK.; Richard Porter and his wife Jennifer of Tonganoxie, Kansas and Gary Porter and his wife Teri of Olathe, Kansas; 24 great-grandchildren, 8 step-great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren, and 2 step-great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, July 21, 2008 at Bel Air Southern Baptist Church, 1100 W. Cloud, Salina. Memorials may be made to the church. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401.
