Her parents, Philip Jorg and Lottie Larson, were married in 1900; she was born on November 18, 1908, in New Cambria, Saline County, and was the fourth of five children. She grew up in the New Cambria area where she taught school for 12 years in and around Saline County. Following her marriage to Roy D. Jungel on October 10, 1941, in Salina, she farmed and ranched with her husband in the New Cambria area. She moved to Salina in 1978.

She was predeceased by her husband Roy in 1978, her parents; brothers Henry, Newton & Luther, and sister Lena. She is survived by her son, Carroll, his wife, Karilea; her three granddaughters, Stacey & her husband Jeff Seibel, Kathryn Cullifer, and Krystal & her husband Cory Zeferjahn; and her six great-grandchildren, Morgan, Christopher, Michael, Lauren, Emily & Grant; and eight nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Thursday from noon to 8 p.m. at Ryan Mortuary, where the family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, February 1, 2008 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Salina. Interment will be in Highland Cemetery, New Cambria.
