Laurence "Larry" Leamer, Sr., 67, Salina, died Tuesday, June 10, 2008. He was born Nov. 16, 1940, in Los Angeles. He served in the U.S. Navy. He married Nancy Borsh on Nov. 19, 1960, in Great Lakes, IL. He was a pharmacist and owned Larry’s Pharmacy in Bennington, KS. Later, he was a pharmacist for City Pharmacy in Minneapolis. He was a member of the Central City Street Rods, National License Plate Association, an Eagle Scout and was member of the Golden Rule Masonic Lodge #90 of Topeka. Also, he was an avid car fan. He is survived by his wife, Nancy, of the home; a son, Laurence “Larry” Leamer, Jr and his wife, Marilyn, of Salina; a sister, Patricia Hovey and her husband, Jim, of Auburn; three sister-in-laws, Joan Muni and Joyce Sheldon of Euclid, OH, and Judy Holmes and her husband, Charles, of Concord, OH; a beloved grandson, Derek Leamer of Salina; and two nephews. There will be no visitation. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 18, 2008, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 901 E. Neal, Salina, KS 67401, with Rev. Barry Dundas officiating. Private inurnment will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Salina or the Boy Scouts of America, in care of Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. 8th, Salina, KS 67401. |
