DALLAS — Thomas Peter Martin, 80, Dallas, died peacefully at home with loving family, Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2008. He was born Dec. 15, 1927, in Solomon, Kan., the son of Peter and Kathleen (Quinn) Martin. He was founder and owner of Able Concrete Co. in Dallas. He was member of St. Monica’s Catholic Church and the Knights Of Columbus. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Eugene; and sister, Mary Ward. Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Dolly Martin, Dallas; three sons, Stephen Martin, Dallas, Mark Rutledge, Plano, and Chris Rutledge, Flower Mound; four brothers, Michael and Robert, both of Salina, Kan., Donald, Dallas, and James, Solomon, Kan.; two sisters, Alice Vogelsberg, Salina, Kan., and Frances Holman, Topeka, Kan; three grandsons, Stephen, Jordan and Avery; and five granddaughters, Alexandra, Ashley, Gabrielle, Mikala and Hailey. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Ryan Mortuary, Salina, Kan., with a vigil service at 7 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 11, at Sacred Heart Cathedral, Salina, Kan. Burial is in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Solomon, Kan. Memorial contributions may be given to the cathedral. |
