Elmer E. “Hap” McCoy, 100, Salina, died Saturday, May 10, 2008. Mr. McCoy was born June 14, 1907, in Solomon. He was a lifelong worker with KP&L. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nadine; a brother, Wade; and two grandsons, Steven and Dirk. Survivors include his daughter, Donna Dickerman; two granddaughters, Jogene Mathews and husband Kent and Vergene Becker and husband Perry; 10 great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Roselawn Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth St., Salina, is handling arrangements.
