Berniece C. McCullick, 97, Salina, passed away Thursday, Aug. 7, 2008. She was born June 25, 1911, to George H. and Addie E. (Davis) Duncan. Berniece was a lifelong resident of Salina. She attended school and graduated from Salina High School. Her beloved son, Bob D. Muir, was born Sept. 2, 1933, and died June 5, 1979. Berniece worked as a secretary at Smoky Hill Air Force Base and at Wilson Engineers. She married E.R. McCullick on Feb. 18, 1950. He died Dec. 28, 1975. Berniece loved her dog, Robar. She enjoyed knitting, gardening and traveling. She was very generous and always caring for others. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and past matron of Chapter No. 2 Order of the Eastern Star. She is survived by cousins, Fay and Howard Stephens; niece and nephew, Peggy and Jack McCullick; niece, Vergene McCullick; stepgrandchildren, Karen and Kurt Capps; and great-nieces and great-nephews. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2008, at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina, KS 67401. A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 14, 2008, at Roselawn Memorial Park, 1920 E. Crawford, Salina, KS 67401. Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, 122 N. Eighth, Salina, KS 67401, in care of the funeral home. |
