OLATHE — Mildred Ann Pankaskie, 81, formerly of Salina and York, NE, died May 26, 2008 at Aberdeen Village of Olathe, KS. Mrs. Pankaskie was born Dec. 27, 1926, in Wichita, KS, the daughter of Fredrick Joseph and Gertrude Watson Timmermeyer. She was a Public School Home Economics Instructor. She is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph, 2005. Survivors include two sons, Marvin C. of Fairport, N.Y. and David E. of Arkansas City, KS; a daughter, Marcia L. Pankaskie of Olathe, KS; and two grandchildren, Alissa and Sarah Pankaskie. A Memorial Mass will be 2 p.m. Friday, June 27, 2008 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. Inurnment will be at a later date in the Columbarium of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in the All Saints Catholic Cemetery, Salina. Memorials are suggested to the Salina Emergency Food Bank or to the church. There will be no public visitation, Mrs. Pankaskie donated her body to the University of Kansas Medical Center Willed Body Program. Ryan Mortuary, Salina, is in charge of arrangements. |
