Barbara R. Payne, Salina, died June 17, 2008, at the Kaye Pogue Hospice Center, Salina. Mrs. Payne was born Barbara Ruth Griffeth on Jan. 4, 1926, in Concordia. She graduated from the Clyde High School and the Wichita Business School, Wichita. She retired as the accountant for Payne Oil Company in Salina in 1989. She is survived by her husband, Richard “Dick” Payne, of the home; three sons, Rick and wife Maura of Newton, David and wife Ann of Salina and Mike and wife Debbie of Salina; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. There will be no visitation. Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Monday at First United Methodist Church, 122 N. Eighth St., Salina, KS 67401, with the Rev. Rick Just officiating. Inurnment will be private at Roselawn Memorial Park, Salina. Memorials are suggested to the Kaye Pogue Hospice Center, Salina, in care of Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth St., Salina, KS 67401. |
