Mr. Polach was born May 21, 1919, in Ellsworth. He was a mail carrier with the United States Postal Service. He was a member of the United States Army Air Force from 1941 to 1945.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline, in 2005; an infant son, Frank Paul, in 1951; and his sister, Zdenka Chamberlain, in 2006. Survivors include his brother, Joe Polach and wife Josephine of Junction City; and nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Salina. Inurnment will be in Roselawn Memorial Park, Salina.Memorials may be made to the church, in care of Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401.
