Mrs. Searle was born Edna June Aills on December 25, 1920, in Decatur, Arkansas, to Robert W. and Maud E. (Austin) Aills. She worked for the city of Salina for many years.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Harry, in 1990; parents; three brothers; and three sisters.

She is survived by two sons, Gail Aills of Salina and Harry “Butch” Searle of Salina; one daughter, Bonnie Latham of Hedville, KS; two sisters, Wilma Ray of Salina and Virginia Peters of Knoxville, TN; 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Saturday at Ray Avenue Baptist Church, Salina, KS, the Rev. John Day officiating. Burial will be in Gypsum Hill Cemetery, Salina. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 North Eighth St., Salina. Memorials are suggested to the church.
