Frank Earl Shelton Jr., 89, of Salina, passed away Sunday, March 23rd, 2008, at Salina Regional Health Center. Born in Salina, he was the oldest son of late Ellen (Brown) Shelton and Frank Earl Shelton Sr. He married Edythe Anderson on September 1, 1940, and the two shared a wonderful 67 years together. He retired in 1984 from Kennedy & Coe, Certified Public Accountants, where he worked for 40 years. Frank was a charter member of the Salina Sunflower Lions Club. Survivors, in addition to his wife, include his brother, Richard Shelton of Salina, Kansas; his children, Larry C. Shelton of Minneapolis, Minnesota, David M. Shelton of Foster City, California, and Douglas B. Shelton of Colorado Springs, Colorado; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church at 843 Lewis Ave. in Salina. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park in Salina. Visitation will be from noon until 8 p.m. Wednesday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 North 8th St. Memorials are suggested to the Sunflower Lions. |
