Mrs. Spuhler was born Hazel Rose Watts on Dec. 7, 1915, in Marnhull, England.

She is survived by a daughter, Carol Gonzales of Tescott; two granddaughters, Jaime Howell and Mary Gonzales, both of Tescott ; and a grandson, Lynn Howell of California.

Memorial services will be announced by the family at a later date.
