Rexford R. “Rex” Vass, 93, of Salina, died Saturday, Nov. 8, 2008. He was born the son of Nelson and Goldie Vass on Nov. 2, 1915, in Cloud County. He worked in maintenance for Beech Aircraft for 14 years. Survivors include his wife, Marthena, of Salina; three sons, Larry, of Lancaster, CA, Max, of Minneapolis, and Lon, of Salina; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2008, at Ryan Mortuary, Salina. Burial is in the Morrison cemetery near Glasco, KS. Visitation will be prior to the service on Wednesday. Memorials may be given to First United Methodist Church or Hospice of Salina, in care of Ryan Mortuary.
