Colleen V. Warner, 81, Salina, died Saturday, March 8, 2008. She was born Colleen V. Larsen on Oct. 5, 1926, at Colby, Kansas. As a registered nurse at Asbury Hospital, Salina, she came to know and take care of many patients in the Salina area. She married Dean C. Warner on January 28, 1951, at Burlington, Colorado. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Lola (Melrose) Larsen; a daughter, Valerie Warner, in 1988; her husband, Dean C. Warner, in 2002; a sister, Melba Shafer; and four brothers, Danny Larsen, Delbert Larsen, Gene Larsen and Dale Larsen. She is survived by two daughters, Pamela Johnston of Topeka, Kansas, and Deanna Kiefer of Denver, Colorado; three sisters, Eunice Carlson and Gail Carlson, both of Salina, Kansas, and Judy Daugherty of Independence, Kansas; five grandchildren, Dean (Buddy) Johnston, Erika Kiefer, Sarah Kiefer, Steven Johnston, and Matthew Johnston and his wife, Amy; and a great-granddaughter, Shailey Johnston; and many nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 12, 2008 at Roselawn Memorial Park, Salina, Kansas, with Rev. Paul Robbins officiating. Inurnment will be in Roselawn Memorial Park. There will be no visitation. The family suggests memorial contributions to the Multiple Sclerosis Society. Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. 8th, Salina, Kansas 67401, is in charge of arrangements. |
