George H. Boston, 75, of Salina, died Saturday, March 14, 2009. Mr. Boston was born Aug. 15, 1933, in Lincoln. George did counter sales at American Electric Whole Sale Supply for 40 years. He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, Lutheran Laymen’s League, church elder, Salina German American Club and Midwestern Polka Club of Kansas. Survivors include his wife, Elsa Boston; a daughter, Debbie Venturini and husband Gary, of Freeport, Pa.; a son, Larry Chaney and wife Heide, of McPherson; a sister, Kathleen Sadaris, of Cypress, Calif.; seven grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 19, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Salina. Burial will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in McPherson City Cemetery, McPherson. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorial gifts may be made to Lutheran Hour Ministry, The Elders Love Fund or Hospice of Salina. |
