She did clerical work for the Salina Water Department, worked in healthcare for the Salina Regional Health Center and nursing homes, worked at the Salina Animal Shelter, was a tax preparer and cared for her grandchildren.

Survivors include a daughter, Christy Dixson, of Salina; a son, Timothy Dixson and wife Robin, of Salina; her mother, Litha Parrish, of Salina; her father and stepmother, Raymond and Jo Parrish, of Marietta, Calif.; three stepsisters, Linda Thompson, Doris Perkins and Sally D’Anna, all of California; four granddaughters, Chloe, Ayanna, Makyla and Danica Dixson, all of Salina; and her two loving dogs, Sammy and Jack Jack.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 15, at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401, with the Rev. Harry Tysen officiating. Burial will follow in Gypsum Hill Cemetery, Salina. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the mortuary, where family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Dixson Grandchildren’s Education fund, in care of Ryan Mortuary.
