Glenn E. Geissert, 73, of Salina, died Monday, June 8, 2009. He was born the son of William and Blanche Geissert, March 5, 1936, in Minneapolis. He worked as a roofer for Martin Roofing of Wichita, and Serrault Roofing and Jayhawk Roofing, both of Salina. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Jeremy Geissert, in 1997. Survivors include his wife, Patricia, of Salina; a son, Timothy and wife Jeny, of Salina; six daughters, Tammy Miller and husband Kenny, Glenda Brockway and husband James, Patricia Geissert, Gena Geissert, Rebecca Davis and Melissa Geissert, all of Salina; a brother, John Geissert, of Grand Junction, Colo.; a sister, Bernice Nunnemaker of Minneapolis; and many grandchildren, including Brook and Katie Miller and Trinity and Christopher Brockway. Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, June 11, at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth St., Salina. There will be no visitation; cremation was chosen. Memorial gifts are suggested to the VA hospital in Topeka. |
