Frances Gilmore
June 2, 1936 - May 5, 2009

MILTONVALE — Frances Gilmore, 73, of Miltonvale, passed away at home Tuesday, May 5, 2009, after a long illness. Mrs. Gilmore was born Mary Frances Milam on Oct. 29, 1935, in Chatfield, Texas, to the late James Thomas Milam and Mary Agnes (Davis) Milam.

Frances was a retired executive secretary and a member of Miltonvale Christian Church. Frances was a beautiful person, loving, caring and giving to everyone. Her presence was felt by many and loved by all. She was a wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be greatly missed by all. Rest in peace wife and mother.

On July 27, 1991, Frances and Robert W. “Bob” Gilmore were united in marriage in Corsicana, Texas.

Survivors include her husband, Bob, of the home. She was the mother of Jim Stepter, of Spring Branch, Texas, Mike Stepter, of Miltonvale, Trinka Fancella, of Manhattan; stepmother to Ed Gilmore, of Olean, N.Y., Alan Gilmore, of Miltonvale, Robert E. Gilmore, Burlington, Wash., Cheryl Gilmore, Dallas, Texas, Tim Gilmore, of Page, Ariz., William Gilmore, Wylie, Texas, and Angela Gilmore, of Arlington, Texas; and sister to James Milam, of Trenton, Texas, Joyce Moiola, of Dallas, Texas, and Bobbie Sue “Susan” Milam, of Taylor, Texas. Frances also had 19 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation. Memorial Service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 16, at Miltonvale Christian Church, Miltonvale, with the Rev. Mark Surbrook and the Rev. Mark Webb officiating. Memorials are suggested to Hospice of Ottawa County, 817-A Argyle, Minneapolis 67467, and/or Miltonvale Christian Church Fellowship Hall building fund, 314 W. Third St., Miltonvale 67466. Arrangements are by Ryan Mortuary, Salina.
