He was born Oct. 21, 1934, in Hays, the son of Michael and Clara (Braun) Korbe.

He was an employee of the city of Salina for 37 years.

Mr. Korbe is survived by his wife, Jeanette, of the home; two sons, Kenny Van Auken and Richard Korbe and wife Thanh Ha; one daughter, Susan Torres and husband Javier; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

There will be no services. Cremation will be handled by Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth St., Salina 67401.

Memorial contributions may be made to Kaye Pogue Hospice Center of Salina and may be sent in care of the mortuary.
