Deanna "Dee Dee" Longbine
November 6, 1960 - March 8, 2009

Deanna Jean Longbine, 48, Salina, died Sunday, March 8, 2009. Dee Dee was born Nov. 6, 1960, in Salina, the daughter of Duane A. and Mayetta Jean (Redding) Longbine. She worked at OCCK Inc. for 28 years and had worked at Unlimited Options workshop the past four years.

She was a member of Church of the Cross United Methodist, Salina, where she enjoyed her Sunday school class. She participated in Special Olympics and enjoyed bowling, swimming, camping and boating.

She had the special ability to draw people into her life and touched the lives of many.

Dee Dee was preceded in death by a brother, Steven Ray Longbine; her grandparents, Virgil and Nora Longbine and John and Annie May Redding; and aunts, Donna (Redding) Reynolds and LaDonna Redding. She is survived by her parents, Duane and Mayetta Longbine; brother, William “Bill” Longbine and spouse Donna, of Salina; nephews, Jonathan Longbine and spouse Dawn and Caleb Longbine; an uncle, Max (Linda) Redding; two aunts, Twila (Robert) Bowyer and Joyce (Larry) Detweiler; and several loving cousins.

Friends may call from noon to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Ryan Mortuary, Salina, where family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 12, at Church of the Cross United Methodist, Salina. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park. Memorials are suggested to Unlimited Options, Church of the Cross U.M. or Hospice of Kansas.
