Lillie Mae Metro, 89, of Salina, died Wednesday, Jan 28, 2009, She was born, daughter of Moses & Mabel Dorais, May 31, 1919 in Huscher, KS. Lillie was a homemaker and worked as cook for Sacred Heart School for 32 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, John, in 1988. Survivors include, sons, Fr. LeRoy Metro, Salina, Lewis Metro, Claremore, OK, Ronald Metro, Olympia, WA; daughters, Karen Cox, Little Rock, AR, Lynette Williamson, Salina, Janet Winter, Wichita; thirteen grandchildren and twenty-eight great grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM Saturday, Jan 31, 2009, at the Sacred Heart Cathedral, Salina. A Vigil Service will be 7:00 PM Friday at the Cathedral. Burial is in the Mt Calvary Cemetery, Salina. Memorial may be given to the church. Visitation will be 4-6 PM Friday at the Ryan Mortuary and after 6 PM at the Cathedral. Ryan Mortuary, Salina, is in charge. |
