Olive E. Meyer, 94, of Salina, died Thursday, April 2, 2009. She was born the daughter of DeWitt Guy and Cynthia (Brown) Seekins, on April 8, 1914, in Sweetgrass, Mont. Mrs. Meyer was a homemaker and a master quilt maker who won ribbons at the Saline County Fair. She loved to dance, play cards and learned to use the computer at the age of 90. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, William A. Morehead and George Meyer; and daughter, Joleen Henning. Survivors include her daughter, Donna Johnson and husband Marvin; son, Don Morehead and wife Ann; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday, April 6, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 230 E. Cloud, Salina 67401. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Salina. Memorial gifts may be given to Hospice of Salina or St. Mary's School and may be sent to or left in care of Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth St., Salina 67401. |
