Madelene V. Gebhart Pinkham
June 30, 1914 - May 11, 2009

Madelene V. Gebhart Pinkham, 94, of Overland Park, KS, formerly of Salina, passed away peacefully May 11, 2009, surrounded by family. Madelene was born in Culver. She taught school for five years in a one-room school house. She was married to the love of her life, Delno I. Pinkham, for 59 years. Madelene was joyous, happy and made people laugh wherever she went, including whomever was seated at the slot machine next to her. She belonged to the Elks Club, Winnebago Club, Kappa Kappa Iotas and had many friends of all ages. Her smiling eyes and unique humor will be missed by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Delno I. Pinkham; a son, Daniel Pinkham; daughter-in-law, Marsha Pinkham; son-in-law, Tom Jones; brother, Jim Gebhart; and a sister, Sara Carlson.

She is survived by her brother, Lloyd Gebhart; daughter, Marlene Rose Jones; grandchildren, Kiessa Ketterlin and husband Larry Gaines, Drew Ketterlin, Julie Mekelburg and husband Greg, Justin Pinkham and wife Kelly; great-grandchildren, Kerry, Natasha, Kelsey, Callum, Keegan, Micheala, Ethan and Lydia.

A graveside service will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 16, at Gypsum Hill Cemetery, Salina. Visitation will be Friday, May 15, from 4 to 6:30 p.m. at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. 8th St., Salina. Memorials maybe made to the charity of the donors choice.
