She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers; sisters; her second husband, Robert VanArsdall; and her third husband, James Rick.

Survivors include a son, Scott VanArsdall, of Minneapolis; stepsons, James Rick, of Niles, Shawn Rick, of Salina, Kevin Rick, of Lindsborg, Kelly Rick, of Salina, Danny VanArsdall, of Lincoln, Neb., Steve VanArsdall, of Eagle, Neb., and Robert VanArsdall III, of Casper, Wyo.; stepdaughters, Coleen Beck, of Manhattan, Roxanne Hornburger, of Dodge City, Dawn Hicks, of Tonganoxie, and Shyrel VanArsdall, of Grand Island, Neb.; a brother, Dale Helms, of St. Louis, Mo.; six grandchildren, Cassandrea VanArsdall, Sharon VanArsdall, Stephanie VanArsdall, Jordan VanArsdall, Tanner Nicholas and Christine Byrd; and numerous stepgrandchildren and stepgreat-grandchildren.

Inurnment will be at a later date in Lincoln Memorial Cemetery, Lincoln, Neb. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401, is in charge of arrangements.
