Theodore A. “Ted” Schlick, age 88, died Jan. 27, 2009 in Salina. Mr Schlick was born July 4, 1920, in Gove County, KS. He had worked for Sears and Kinney’s Shoes prior to his employment with Fuller Brush Company from 1957 to 1993. He is preceded in death by his wife, Vera, in 2006. He is survived by a son, Jim, of Salina; a daughter, Edna Zimmerman, of Wichita; brothers, Emanuel and Ralph, both of Hays; a sister, Esther Haffner, of Hoxie; two grandchildren; and a great great-grandchild; a stepgrandchild;and three stepgreat-grandchildren. The Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the Sacred Heart Cathedral, Ninth and Iron Ave, Salina with Father Allen Scheer, celebrant. Burial will be in the Mount Calvary Cemetery, Salina. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 North Eighth St., Salina. The casket will remain closed. A vigil /rosary will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Mortuary. Memorials are suggested to Sacred Heart Cathedral. |
