Vergil A. Yeagley
July 14, 1914 - June 12, 2009

RAYMORE, Mo. — Vergil A. Yeagley, 94, of Raymore, formerly of Salina, Kan., died Friday, June 12, 2009. He was born July 14, 1914, in Lucas, the son of Arthur and Louise Yeagley.

He worked for the civil service as a propeller mechanic at the Smoky Hill and Schilling Air Force Base, Salina. Vergil was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret, in 2008.

Survivors include two sons, Larry and wife Suzy, of Lee’s Summit, and Robert, of Junction City, Kan.; two daughters, Constance Wary and husband Ted, of Columbus, Kan., and Lavonne Fleming, of Tipp City, Ohio; 16 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth St., Salina, with a vigil at 7 p.m.

Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday, June 19, at Sacred Heart Cathedral, Salina. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Salina.
