Robert (Bob) worked for Tractor Supply Company for more than thirty years in its different stores at Salina and St. Joseph, Missouri. His specialty was customer service and knowledge of the products his customers needed. From time to time, he farmed with his family south of Glen Elder. He loved KSU sports, college football, farming and working with his friends at Tractor Supply Company.

He was preceded in death by his parents and grand nephew, Nathan Krier. Surviving family include one sister and three brothers with their families: a sister, Patricia and Jim Boyd, of Beloit, Deb and Randy Williams, Pam and Roger Krier; three brothers and their families: Richard and Kathy Ahlvers, of Great Bend, Alicia Ahlvers, Richelle and Wade Dolphin; Rodney and Norma Ahlvers, of Glen Elder, Janelle and Morgan Pearl, Jenny and Jay Russell, and Steven Ahlvers; and David and Carol Ahlvers, of Salina, Leslie and Andrew Amick, and Nolan Ahlvers. Bob's grand nieces and nephews are Matthew and Michael Williams, Andrew and Elyse Krier, Jonathon Ahlvers, Adaela Amick and Owen Russell.

Ryan Mortuary is handling the final arrangements. Cremation has taken place and no memorial ceremony has been planned. Condolences may be sent in care of Ryan Mortuary. Memorials may be sent to the Kansas State University Athletics Fund, in care of Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. 8th, Salina, Kansas.
