She graduated from Brown Mackie College. Sarah worked for St. John's Hospital and Salina Regional Health Center and retired from Tammy Walker Cancer Center. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church. She married her husband, Richard, on March 7, 1981.

She is survived by her husband, Richard "Rick" Bergmann; four sons, Kevin and Mike Copple and Darrell and Brian Bergmann; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many to whom she was Grandma, Mom, Sister, Aunt and Friend.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, July 5, at Ryan Mortuary, Salina. Family will be receiving friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the mortuary. Burial will follow at St. John's Catholic Cemetery, Beloit. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Tammy Walker Cancer Center or Hospice of Salina.
