He is survived by his wife Virginia of the home; four daughters, Barbara Jackson of Plummerville, Arkansas, Tina Hays and husband Jeff of Thomason, Georgia, and Toni Myers, and Carol Ellis and husband John, all of Salina; son, Rick Brown of Salina; 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, one daughter, one grandson and one great-grandson.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, March 8, 2010 at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401. Burial will be in the Brookville Cemetery, Brookville. There will be no visitation. The family suggests memorials to the American Lung Association or the American Cancer Association.
