SALT LAKE CITY -- Sestia Burch, of Salt Lake City, passed away peacefully Friday morning, Aug. 13, 2010, just three days short of her 99th birthday. She was born in Beverly, Kan., the daughter of John and Myrtle Kalb. She was preceded in death by the "love of her life," Edward Hereth; and the dear spouse and companion of her later years, Frank Burch; two daughters, Dora Lou Johnson and Deanna O'Brien; three brothers, Harold, Paul and John Kalb; and her sister, Lucille Burt. She is survived by a sister, Betty Felton; three sons and their wives, Bob and Trudie Sherwood, of Pensacola, Fla., Ray and Donna Sherwood, of Assaria, Kan., and Rick and Susan Hereth, of Salem; her two sons-in-law, Gerald Johnson and Connolly O'Brien; and her three stepchildren and their spouses, Robert and Pat Burch, of Wichita, Kan., Carolyn and Charles Russell, of Duluth, Minn., and Marolyn and Paul Willden, of Glasco, Kan. She was the very proud grandmother of 29 grandchildren, 89 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 21, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 845 S. Ohio, Salina, KS 67401. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery, Salina.
