Stella N. Cooper, 64, of Salina, died Tuesday, Aug. 10, 2010, in Salina after a long illness. She was born Nov. 26, 1945, in Denver, the daughter of Harold and Hazel (Burns) Bennett. Stella attended Lincoln High School in Denver and moved to Salina in 1961. She worked for General Finance, Saline County Courthouse, Western Auto and Central Music. Stella loved gardening and the outdoors and was an avid bingo player. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a younger brother, David Bennett. Survivors include a son, Brad Cooper, of Salina; a daughter, Paula Cooper, of Aurora, Colo.; a brother, Wayne Bennett, of Denver; a sister, Arlene Carlock, of Fruitland, Idaho; two granddaughters, Brandi Trussel and Kelli Jaggers, both of Salina; and two great-grandchildren. There will be no visitation. Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 13, at Salina First Nazarene Church, 1425 S. Ohio, Salina 67401, with the Rev. Jon Fillipi officiating. Memorial contributions may be given to the church. |
