Steve was preceded in death by an infant son, Bradley Dale, in 1970; and his father, in 1996.

Survivors include his special friend, Junko “June” Kendall, of the home; his daughter, Jennifer and husband Tracy Roberts, and grandchildren, Nathan and Courtney, all of Louisville, Ky.; his mother, Evelyn Holm, and brother, Randall Holm, both of Salina; his sister, Brenda and husband Ron Garcia, of Mountain Ranch, Calif.; and nephews and their wives, Brian and Isabelle Garcia, of Mariposa, Calif., and Todd and Kelly Garcia, of Glencoe, Calif.

Steven served in the Army in Okinawa and Korea, and then in the Kansas National Guard and the Army Reserve for approximately 16 years, leaving the service as a Reserve army major. Steve spent most of his civilian life working as a plumber, and one of his proudest moments was when he reopened Holm Plumbing Company on Jan. 31, 2000, making him the third generation of Holm Plumbing company owners.

A gathering to REJOICE IN HIS LIFE will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 7, at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth St., Salina 67401.
