He had worked in the Grounds Maintenance Department at Salina Presbyterian Manor until his death.

He was preceded in death by a son, Adam Robert Sanchez, in 1989. He is survived by a son, Mathew, of Kansas City, Kan.; two daughters, Laura Gonzales, of Kansas City, Mo., and Lisa Leary, of Chapman; two brothers, Charles, of Fayetteville, Ark., and Tony, of Salina; a sister, Mary Sanchez, of Salina; grandchildren, Nina and Gabriel Gonzales and Kellie, Patricia, Sean and Andrew Leary; and his special friend, Amy Schrock, of Salina.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 7, at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth St., Salina 67401, with a vigil at 6:30 p.m.

The Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 8, at Saint Mary Queen of the Universe Catholic Church, 230 E. Cloud St., Salina 67401, with Father Kerry Ninemire celebrant. Burial will be in the Mount Calvary Cemetery, Salina.

Memorials are suggested to Hospice of Salina or to First Tee, at Salina Municipal Golf Course.
