Eleanor was a civil service dental hygienist at Fort Riley and also worked for Dr. O'Hara in Salina. She worked at Walmart as a greeter, always with a smile. Eleanor is preceded in death by her parents;her husband, William M. Smith and her infant daughter, Sue Ann.

She is survived by her beloved daughter, Cindy Foster and husband Dave; her grandchildren, Robyn Schremmer and husband Joe, Scott Howard and wife Joni, Brian Foster and wife Courtney, and Josh Foster and Rocky Foster and wife Cindie; great-grandchildren, Lexi, Eli and Joey Schremmer, Lainey, Brady, Gavin and Gage Howard, Kellen Foster, and Lizzy and Tommy Foster; sister, Joy Roach and husband Howard; and brother, Tom Meyers and wife Sara.

A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 10, at Ryan Mortuary, Salina. A private family inurnment will be at a later date. Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association.
