Marion David Farr, 73, of Salina, a much loved Husband, Father, Grandfather and Friend went to be with his Lord Jesus Christ Sept. 1, 2017. Marion was born in St. Francis, Nov. 18, 1943 to George Wiley and Comilla Mae (Conn) Farr.
He graduated from Goodland High (1961). Marion believed in hard work and supporting his family. He was a fire fighter, long haul truck driver, grain broker, and owner-operator of several businesses throughout his life. Marion retired from Great Plains trucking after 30 years of service. He had a servant's heart serving in Boy Scouts, Gideonís, and in many capacities at First Covenant Church.
Marion is survived by: his loving wife, Lynette (Cox) Farr; his children, Alisa Greene (Marshall) of Abilene, Liana Dickey (Nathan) of Salina, Kerry Bond (Douglas) of Yukon, Okla., and Kyle Farr (Kori) of Dallas, Texas; stepsons, Jeff Webb (Denisa) of Seattle, Wash., and Jason Webb (Shruti) of London, England; siblings, Velta Bradshaw (Robert) of Goodland, and Gerald Farr (Glenda) of Troy, Mo.; 17 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; stepmother, Lois; and brother, Stanley.
Celebration of life will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 9, at First Covenant Church, Salina.
