|Jay Dee “JD” Johnson|
|December 5, 1966 - October 31, 2017|
JD Johnson, 50, Salina, left his earthy home and entered his heavenly home on October 31, 2017 after a 27 month, 8 day battle with brain cancer. JD was not only a husband, father, brother, son, uncle and friend; he was a wonderful person who touched many lives through his journey. JD, and his wife, Michelle, own Auto Upholstery Unlimited, Inc. where JD was blessed to spend the last 27 months with his son making memories and sharing his love of cars.
JD leaves behind his wife, Michelle; his son, Blake Arron Johnson and his fiancée, Amanda Koch; his parents, Ken and Jerri Johnson and his brother, Jarrod (Natalie) Johnson. He is also survived by his wife’s parents, Albert and Sandra Slater; brother, Leon (Elizabeth Shoen-Slater) Slater; nephews, Slade and Ryder Johnson and Ethan Slater, niece, Emi Slater, and many life long friends that feel like family.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 am Monday, Nov. 6, 2017 at the Ryan Mortuary, Salina. Burial will be in the Gypsum Hill Cemetery, Salina. Friends may call at the Ryan Mortuary on Sunday from 2 until 6 pm. “Casual dress” is suggested and the family would be honored if people would like to wear their JDSTRONG shirts in his memory. Memorials are suggested to the Kansas University Cancer Center or Hospice of Salina.
