This General Price List corresponds with Federal Trade Commission regulations. All funeral service firms are required to price their services in a similar format. A GPL must be given to you for your retention.

Every member of the Ryan Mortuary staff believes in the healing value of a meaningful experience. We feel that every family should have the opportunity to create a ceremony or occasion that fulfills their own unique needs.

We understand that a fair price is an important consideration when you judge value. That value should also include the quality of service provided at a time when it matters the most. Our quality is enabled by having one of the most experienced and fully trained and licensed mortuary staffs in Kansas.

We are sensitive to the fact that the cost of our services may be beyond the resources of some families. We take pride in serving all who call our firm, including those with financial difficulties. If this should be addressed, please speak freely with your funeral director. We consider it a privilege to serve you.


The goods and services shown below are those we can provide to our customers. You may choose only those items you desire. However, any funeral arrangements you select will include a charge for our basic services and overhead. If legal or other requirements mean you must buy any items you did not specifically ask for, we will explain the reason in writing on the statement we provide describing the funeral goods and services you selected.

A.  Basic Services of Funeral Director and Staff.....$1,995.00
Our charge includes, but is not limited to, staff, facilities and vehicles to respond to initial requests of service, 24 hours every day. Consulting with family or responsible party, coordinating service plans with cemetery, crematory, and/or other parties involved in the final disposition of the deceased; obtaining and/or filing official documents and necessary registrations and sheltering the deceased up to four days (see item O.) Also included in this charge are general operating expenses (overhead) relative to our facilities such as insurance, maintenance, utilities, taxes, salaries and benefits. Other costs included are regulatory compliance, legal and audit fees, secretarial, administrative, equipment inventory and parking expense. This fee for our basic services and overhead will be added to the total cost of funeral arrangements you select. (This fee is already included in our charge for direct cremation, immediate burials and forwarding or receiving a deceased person.)

B.  Embalming.....$725.00
Services of licensed embalmers, providing disinfection, preservation and care of the deceased throughout visitation and ceremony. Fee includes the use of preparation room, equipment and supplies. Except in certain special cases, embalming is not required by law. Embalming may be necessary, however, if you select certain funeral arrangements, such as a funeral with viewing. If you do not want embalming, you usually have the right to choose an arrangement that does not require you to pay for it, such as direct cremation or immediate burial. It is our firmís policy to require refrigeration if the deceased is to be sheltered in our facility for more than 24 hours and embalming is not selected.

C.  Other Preparation of the Body.....$275.00
Includes cosmetology, grooming, dressing and placement of the deceased in the casket.

D.  Alternate Care of the Deceased.....$225.00
Includes surface disinfection, setting of the features, and/or placement of the deceased in the alternate container.

E.  Special Procedures (when necessary, per hour).....$100.00
Includes restoration and/or special care required for anatomical gifts, trauma or autopsy.

Optional Use of Facilities, Staff and Equipment
This fee includes, but is not limited to, staff arrangement, planning and direction of the visitation and/or ceremony or selected service, use of the facilities, use of equipment, and transfer to and from another local facility.

F.  Use during viewing and/or visitation.....$475.00

G.  Use during limited viewing and/or visitation (evening prior and day of service).....$350.00

H.  Use during private viewing (family members--one hour).....$225.00

I.  Mortuary or Off Premise Funeral Ceremony.....$600.00

J.  Evening Visitation/Vigil/Rosary/Prayer Service (at Off Premise Location).....$275.00

K.  Chapel Conclusion Ceremony.....$500.00

L.  Memorial Service (ceremony without the body present).....$475.00

M.  Graveside Service.....$475.00

N.  Extended Service (i.e. A service and reception/luncheon followed by committal service).....$225.00

O.  Sheltering of Deceased, per day (for days excluding basic service).....$50.00

P.  Refrigeration of Deceased, per day.....$75.00

Transportation
Unless otherwise noted, transportation charges on the General Price List apply to local area only (within 30 mile radius of our facility). Our point to point charge for destinations is $2.00 per mile (one way). Expenses equal to those incurred for food and overnight lodging as required, will be added to this charge, on trips exceeding eight hours duration.

Q.  Transfer of Deceased to Mortuary.....$395.00

The following are packaged funeral service arrangements providing you with the total cost of the indicated itemized service items. Additional service items may be added or some items may be deleted at the stated General Price List cost.

These packaged price quotations are provided to assist you during the consideration of final disposition arrangements. There are many things to consider, options to explore and, potentially, the wishes of many people to take in to account. Further explanation is available upon request.

I.  Traditional Funeral Ceremony.....$4,800.00
Includes Basic Service Items (A), Embalming and Other Preparation (B & C), Facility charges, Visitation (F) and Funeral Ceremony (I ), Transfer to Mortuary (Q) and Funeral Coach (R).

II.  Chapel Conclusion Ceremony.....$4,490.00
Includes Basic Service Items (A), Embalming and Other Preparation (B & C), Facility charges, Limited Visitation (G) and Funeral Ceremony (K), Transfer to Mortuary (P) and Final Transfer (T). If only graveside service package is requested: replace item (K) with (M) and item (T) with (R) and increase total charge by $60.

III.  Memorial Service with Limited Visitation.....$4,215.00
Includes Basic Service Items (A), Embalming and Other Preparation (B & C), Facility charges, Limited Visitation (G) and Memorial Service (L), Transfer to Mortuary (Q). If immediate burial, add (T) $250.

IV.  Memorial Service following Immediate Burial or Direct Cremation.....$3,265.00
Includes Basic Service Item (A), Alternate Care, as required (D), Facility charges, Memorial service (L), Refrigeration (2 days) (P), Transfer to Mortuary (Q). If immediate burial, add (T) $250.

V.  Memorial Service with Anatomical Donation.....$3,265.00
Includes Basic Service item (A), Alternate Care, as required (D), Facility charges, Memorial Service (L), Refrigeration (2 days) (P), and Transfer to Mortuary (Q). These charges do NOT include transportation costs or provide for viewing. If Memorial Service is declined, omit item (L) and reduce total charge by $475.

Forwarding A Deceased Person To Another Mortuary

Guideline Minimum Transfer.....$2,675.00
Includes Limited Services of Funeral Director and Staff, Embalming (B), and Other Preparation, as required (C), and Transfer to Mortuary (Q). These charges do NOT include minimum shipping container/air tray or any of the transportation costs. This selection does NOT include any viewing or ceremony.

Standard Transfer w/Local Viewing.....$3,050.00
Includes Limited Services of Funeral Director and Staff, Embalming (B) and Other preparation (C), Facility charges, Limited viewing (G) and Transfer to Mortuary (Q). These charges do NOT include casket or shipping container/air tray or any of the transportation costs.

Receiving A Deceased Person From Another Mortuary

Guideline Minimum Delivery.....$1,415.00
Includes Limited Services of Funeral Director and Staff, and Final Transfer (T). These charges do NOT include cemetery merchandise or expenses or any transportation costs. This minimum delivery option will be completed in accordance with our schedule without any viewing or ceremony.

Traditional Ceremony with Visitation.....$2,555.00
Includes Limited Services of Funeral Director and Staff, Facility charges, Limited Visitation (G) and Funeral Ceremony (I), Use of Funeral Coach (R). These charges do NOT include cemetery merchandise or expenses or any transportation costs. If only Graveside Service is requested, replace Item (I) with Item (M) and reduce total charge by $125.

Cremated Remains with Ceremony.....$1,365.00
Includes Limited Services of Funeral Director and Staff, Facility Charges, Memorial Service (L) & Final Transfer to Cemetery (T). If services are also conducted at the graveside (M) add $125. If Chapel Conclusion with no transfer or services only at the graveside, reduce total charge by $185.

Immediate Burial.....$3,015.00 to $13,415.00
Includes Basic Service Items (A), Alternate Care, as required (D), Facility charge, Refrigeration (P), Transfer to Mortuary (Q), and Final Transfer (T). These charges do NOT include cemetery merchandise or expenses, or do NOT provide for visitation or any ceremony.

1.  Immediate Burial with a container provided by purchaser.....$3,015.00

2.  Immediate Burial with a minimum cloth covered casket.....$3,790.00

3.  Immediate Burial with casket as selected.....$3,790.00 to $13,415.00

Direct Cremation.....$3,065.00 to $13,465.00
Includes Basic Service Items (A), Alternate Care, as required (D), Facility charge, Refrigeration (2 days) (P) and Transfer to Mortuary (Q), and Standard Adult Crematory charge. These charges do NOT include a cremation urn, or do NOT provide for visitation or any ceremony. If you want to arrange a direct cremation, you can use an alternative container. Alternative containers encase the body and can be made of materials like fiberboard or composition materials (with or without an outside covering). The containers we provide are rigid cardboard boxes.

1.  Direct Cremation with a container provided by purchaser.....$3,065.00

2.  Direct Cremation with an alternative container.....$3,140.00 ($3,146.56 w/tax)

3.  Direct Cremation with casket as selected.....$3,840.00 to $13,465.00

Special Considerations for Youth Services
The following schedule is based on the same service fee quoted as Adult General Price List charges, with the following percentages to be applied:

Infant, Stillborn to 1 month..............%20 of adult fee
Infant, 2 Month to 1 Year..................%30 of adult fee
Infant, 2 to 3 Years...........................%40 of adult fee
Child, 4 to 7 years............................%60 of adult fee
Child, 8 Years to 12 Years.................%80 of adult fee

(Note: Percentage does NOT apply to merchandise, transportation or other expenses.)

Special Considerations for Home Funeral Family

Restricted Hybrid Service..............$650.00

Qualified for the selection of specific services for the disposition of the deceased in accordance with KSA 65-1718b. Our staff is available upon request an appointment basis for consulting with family or responsible party to coordinate requested limited services.
