This General Price List is in compliance with Federal Trade Commission regulations. All funeral service firms are required to price their services in a similar format. A General Price List must be given to you for your retention.

Every member of the Ryan Mortuary staff believes in the healing value of the funeral ceremony. We feel that every family should have the opportunity to create a ceremony that fulfills their own unique needs.

We understand that a fair price is an important consideration when you judge value. That value should also include the quality of service provided at a time it matters the most. Our quality is enabled by one of the most experienced and fully trained and licensed mortuary staffs in Kansas.

We are also sensitive to the fact that the cost of our services may be beyond the resources of some families. If financial considerations need to be addressed, please speak freely to your funeral director. Our firm's goal is to faithfully serve your needs, regardless of the type of service or merchandise you select.


The goods and services shown below are those we can provide to our customers. You may choose only those items you desire. However, any funeral arrangements you select will include a charge four our basic services and overhead. If legal or other requirements mean you must buy any items you did not specifically ask for, we will explain the reason in writing on the statement we provide describing the funeral goods and services you selected.

As an alternative to selecting itemized services, you have the option of choosing a packaged funeral service arrangement. Theses packages must meet our payment policy procedures and are available only when merchandise is purchased from our firm. These packages must be taken in their entirety, with allowable exceptions indicated, without any other deletion or substitution. Additional items (i.e. motor equipment) can be included at the stated General Price List cost.

When compared to itemized selections, these service options may offer substantial savings to the purchaser. The following price quotations are provided to assist you during the consideration of funeral arrangements. Further explination is available upon request.

I.  Traditional Funeral Ceremony.....$3,375.00
Includes Basic Service Items (A), Embalming and Other Preparation (B & C), Facility charges, Visitation (F) and Funeral Ceremony (I or J), Transfer to Mortuary (P) and Funeral Coach (Q).

II.  Chapel Conclusion Ceremony.....$3,100.00
Includes Basic Service Items (A), Embalming and Other Preparation (B & C), Facility charges, Limited Visitation (G) and Funeral Ceremony (K), Transfer to Mortuary (P) and Final Transfer (S). If only graveside service package is requested: replace item (K) with (M) and item (S) with (Q) and increase total charge by $50.

III.  Memorial Service with Limited Visitation.....$2,900.00
Includes Basic Service Items (A), Embalming and Other Preparation (B & C), Facility charges, Limited Visitation (G) and Memorial Service (L), Transfer to Mortuary (P). If immedaite burial, add (S) $150.

IV.  Memorial Service following Immediate Burial or Direct Cremation.....$2,150.00
Includes Basic Service Item (A), Alternate Care, as required (D), Facility charges, Memorial service (L), Refigeration (O), Transfer to Mortuary (P). If immediate burial, add (S) $150.

V.  Memorial Service with Anatomical Donation.....$2,150.00
Includes Basic Service item (A), Alterante Care, as required (D), Facility charges, Memorial Service (L), Refrigeration (O), and Transfer to Mortuary (P). These charges do NOT include transportation costs or provide for viewing. If Memorial Service is declined, omit item (L) and reduce total charge by $325.

Professional Services

A.  Basic Services of Funeral Director and Staff.....$1,425.00
Our charge includes, but is not limited to, consultation with the family or responsible party; staff and facilities to respond to initial requests for service; coordinating service plans with cemetery, crematory, and/or other parties involved in the final disposition of the deceased; securing official documents and necessary registrations and sheltering of the deceased up to four days. Also included in this charge are general operating expenses (overhead) relative to our facilities such as insurance, maintenance, utilities, taxes, salaries and benefits. Other cost includeed are regulatory compliance, legal and audit fees, secretarial, administrative, equipment inventory and parking expenses. This fee for our basic services and overhead will be added to the total cost of the funeral arrangements you select. (This fee is already included in our charge for direct cremation, immediate burials and forwarding or recieving remains.)

B.  Embalming.....$500.00
Except in certain special cases, embalming is not required by law. Embalming may be necessary, however, if you select certain funeral arrangements, such as a funeral with viewing. If you do not want embalming, you usually have the right to choose an arrangement that does not require you to pay for it, such as direct cremation or immediate burial.

C.  Other Preparation of the Body.....$200.00
Includes cosmetology, grooming, dressing and placement of the deceased in the casket.

D.  Alternate Care of the Deceased.....$175.00
Includes bathing & surface disinfection and setting of the features.

E.  Special Procedures (when necessary, per hour).....$100.00
Includes restoration and/or special care required for anatomical gifts, trauma or autopsy.

Optional Use of Facilities, Staff and Equipment
This fee includes, but is not limited to, staff arrangement, planning and direction of the visitation and/or ceremony or selected service, use of the facilities, use of equipment, and transfer to and from another local facility.

F.  Use during viewing and/or visitation.....$450.00

G.  Use during limited viewing (evening prior and day of service).....$300.00

H.  Use during private viewing (family members--one hour).....$150.00

I.  Mortuary Funeral Ceremony.....$500.00

J.  Off-Premise Funeral Ceremony.....$500.00

K.  Chapel Conclussion Ceremony.....$375.00

L.  Memorial Service (ceremony without the body present).....$350.00

M.  Graveside Service.....$350.00

N.  Sheltering of Remains, per day (for days excluding basic service).....$50.00

O.  Refrigeration of Remains, per day.....$75.00

Transportaion
Unless otherwise noted, transportation charges on the General Price List apply to local area only (within 30 mile radius of our facility). Our point to point charge for destinations is $1.75 per mile (one way). Expenses equal to those incurred for food and overnight lodging as required, will be added to this charge, on trips exceeding eight hours duration.

P.  Transfer of Remains to funeral home.....$275.00

Q.  Funeral Coach/Hearse.....$250.00

R.  Limousine, each (family or bearers).....$175.00

S.  Final Transfer to cemetery or crematory.....$175.00

T.  Use of Other Automotive Equipment (van, each).....$150.00

Forwarding of Remains to another funeral home

Guideline Minimum Transfer.....$1,770.00
Includes Basic Service Items (A), Embalming (B), and Other Preparation, as required (C), and Transfer to Mortuary (P). These charges do NOT include minimum shipping container/air tray or any of the transportation costs. This selection does NOT include any viewing or ceremony.

Standard Transfer w/Local Viewing.....$2,200.00
Includes Basic Service items (A), Embalming (B) and Other preparation (C), Facility charges, Limited viewing (G) and Transfer to Mortuary (P). These charges do NOT include casket or shipping container/air tray or any of the transportation costs. [Note: An air tray is included in cost of any casket provided by Ryan's].

Recieving of Remains from another funeral home

Guideline Minium Delivery.....$960.00
Includes Basic Service Items (A), and Final Transfer (S). These charges do NOT include cemetery merchandise or expenses or any transportation costs. This minimum delivery option will be completed in accordance with our schedule without any viewing or ceremony.

Traditional Ceremony with Visitation.....$1,975.00
Includes Basic Service Items (A), Facility charges, Limited Visitation (G) and Funeral Ceremony (I or J), Use of Funeral Coach (Q). These charges do NOT include cemetery merchandise or expenses or any transportation costs. If only Graveside Service is requested, replace Item (I or J) with Item (M) and reduce total charge by $160.

Cremated Remains with Ceremony.....$1.020.00
Includes Basic Services (A), Facility Charges, Memorial Service (L) & Final Tranasfer to Cemetery (S). If services are also conducted at the graveside (M) add $125. If Chapel Conclussion with no transfer or services only at the graveside, reduce total charge by $160.

Direct Cremation.....$2,060.00 to $9,560.00
Includes Basic Service Items (A), Alternate Care, as required (D), Facility charge, Refrigeration (O) and Transfer to Mortuary (P), and CREMATORY charge. These charges do NOT include a cremation urn, or do NOT provide for visitation or any ceremony. If you want to arrange a direct cremation, you can use an alternative container. Alternative containers encase the body and can be made of materials like fiberboard or composition materials (with or without an outside covering). The containers we provide are rigid cardboard boxes.

1.  Direct Cremation with a container provided by purchaser.....$2,060.00

2.  Direct Cremation with an alternative container.....$2,135.00 ($2,140.29 w/tax)

3.  Direct Cremation with casket as selected.....$2,610.00 to $9,560.00

Immediate Burial.....$1,975.00 to $9,475.00
Includes Basic Service Items (A), Alternate Care, as required (D), Facility charge, Refrigeration (O), Transfer to Mortuary (P), and Final Transfer (S). These charges do NOT include cemetery merchandise or expenses, or do NOT provide for visitation or any ceremony.

1.  Immediate Burial with a container provided by purchaser.....$1,975.00

2.  Immediate Burial with a minimum cloth covered casket.....$2,525.00

3.  Immediate Burial with casket as selected.....$2,525.00 to $9,475.00

Special Considerations for Youth Services
The following schedule is based on the same service fee quoted as Adult Genral Price List charges, with the following percentages to be applied:

Infant, Stillborn to 1 month..............%20 of adult fee
Infant, 1 Month to 1 Year..................%30 of adult fee
Infant, 1 to 3 Years...........................%40 of adult fee
Child, 3 to 7 years............................%60 of adult fee
Child, 7 Years to 12 Years.................%80 of adult fee
