Bounheng Vorarath

Bounheng Vorarath, born January 1, 1940, passed away peacefully in his sleep at the age of 86.  He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather to numerous family members. Survived by his wife of 60 years, Khammouane, they lived in Salina, KS since 1983, where they were blessed with four children and 12 grandchildren. 

Known to all as an outdoorsman with a strong passion for fishing, he will be remembered for his contentment in nature. Bounheng was a man of strong will and determination who risked everything to bring his family from Laos to have a better life and future. His love for fishing will be passed on in the legacy of his sons, daughters, grandsons, and son in laws. 

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, June 27, 2026, at the Ryan Mortuary, Salina.  Following the memorial service, the family invites you to share a meal in his remembrance at 1214 Hartford St, Salina.
